Localised disease is the most common subtype; patients are often women in their 30s. Most cases are self-limiting, with 50% resolving within 2 years. However (...) , recurrences are common. Rarely manifests as a paraneoplastic granulomatous reaction to underlying malignancy; usually this occurs in older patients with atypical clinical presentations. Although evidence is limited, may be associated with thyroid disease, hyperlipidaemia, and diabetes. Definition Granulomaannulare (GA) is an uncommon benign condition of unknown aetiology. The role of biologics in the treatment of chronic granulomaannulare. Granulomaannulare (GA), a benign inflammatory skin disease, is considered a Th1-type delayed hypersensitivity reaction. Localized GA is likely to resolve spontaneously, whereas disseminated GA (DGA) may persist for decades and can be resistant to treatment. Biologics including TNF-α inhibitors have been proposed and utilized as salvage therapy for GA and other related diseases, interstitial granulomatous dermatitis (IGD (...) ), and actinic granuloma (AG).A systematic review was conducted using the combination of search terms "granulomaannulare," "interstitial granulomatous dermatitis," or "actinic granuloma" and either "biologics," "etanercept," "adalimumab," "infliximab," "ustekinumab," "ixekizumab," "secukinumab," "guselkumab," "golimumab," "brodalumab," "tildrakizumab," or "certolizumab" from the years 1970-2017.Review of the literature revealed that 79.3% of the patients with GA, IGD, or AG who had been treated
Chronic Hepatitis with Liver Granulomas in a Patient with GranulomaAnnulare: A Case Report and Review of the Literature Granulomaannulare (GA) is a benign granulomatous skin disorder of unknown etiology. GA is rarely associated with liver diseases. We report a unique case of chronic hepatitis with liver granulomas in a patient with GA. Despite an extensive workup, no clear etiology for the hepatitis was found. Based on the possible immune pathophysiology of GA and the presence of liver (...) granulomas, the patient was treated with prednisone and azathioprine which resulted in complete normalization of the liver enzymes and concurrent improvement of GA. The association between liver diseases and GA is reviewed.

Methotrexate treatment of generalized granulomaannulare: A retrospective case series. Management of generalized granulomaannulare (GGA) poses challenges for both patients and dermatologists. Currently, there are no established first-line therapies for GGA and the available therapeutic modalities are based on individual case reports and a few small case series. Further, there are limited publications assessing the efficacy of methotrexate in treating GGA.To evaluate the efficacy and adverse
Clinical and Histopathological Features of Paraneoplastic GranulomaAnnulare in Association with Solid Organ Malignancies: Case Control Study. Granulomaannulare (GA) is a granulomatous skin eruption rarely associated with cancer. We report seven cases of paraneoplastic GA in association with solid organ malignancy. To compare the clinical and histopathological features of paraneoplastic GA to case-matched controls of classic GA.Retrospective chart and histopathological review of 7 individuals
GranulomaAnnulare and Radial Pulse Therapy: Preliminary Findings In this case report, the authors describe a first-time trial of a variation of extracorporeal shockwave therapy in a patient with disseminated granulomaannulare. Radial pulse therapy was administered in an outpatient clinic of a university hospital to a 72-year-old woman with a 14-year history of disseminated granulomaannulare. The authors describe changes in clinical appearance and results of histological evaluation, reporting (...) observable positive changes in all four treated plaques. The authors conclude that radial pulse therapy was well-tolerated and seemed to influence the course of disseminated granulomaannulare plaques positively.
GranulomaAnnulare in the Setting of Secukinumab Granulomaannulare (GA) is a common benign inflammatory skin condition classically presenting as skin-colored to erythematous dermal papules and annular plaques. Histologically, GA displays a dermal granulomatous infiltrate with palisaded histiocytes surrounding focally altered collagen. The exactly etiology of GA remains unknown, but it has been associated with trauma, various infections, diabetes mellitus, malignancy, thyroid disease
A Case of Annular Elastolytic Giant Cell Granuloma Associated with Syphilis Annular elastolytic giant cell granuloma (AEGCG) is a rare granulomatous skin disease characterized by annular patches with slightly raised borders, hypopigmented and/or atrophic centers found mainly on sun-exposed skin. Histologically, it is characterized by phagocytosis of elastic fibers by multinucleated giant cells. The pathogenesis of the disease is unclear. We report a case of 55-year-old man with AEGCG

GranulomaAnnulare: A Focused Review of Therapeutic Options. Granulomaannulare (GA) is a benign inflammatory disease associated with many conditions such as malignancy, trauma, thyroid disease, diabetes mellitus, and HIV infection. Common clinical subtypes include localized GA, generalized GA, subcutaneous GA, perforating GA, and patch GA. There exists an abundance of literature on GA, yet we know relatively little about its exact etiology and even less about its treatment. The paucity
GranulomaAnnulare and Morphea: Correlation with Borrelia burgdorferi Infections and Chlamydia-related Bacteria. A retrospective study of 109 skin biopsies with granulomaannulare (GA) or morphea histology from patients with suspected tick bite was performed. Biopsies were tested for cutaneous Borrelia burgdorferi DNA using PCR. The same biopsies were analysed for tick-borne novel agents, Chlamydia-related bacteria (members of the Chlamydiales order), using a PCR-based method. Borrelia DNA

Granulomaannulare: relationship to diabetes mellitus, thyroid disorders and tuberculin skin test Granulomaannulare is a benign inflammatory disease of the skin. The etiology and pathogenesis of the disease are not yet determined, but some authors have proposed that it might be associated with a variety of underlying conditions such as thyroid disorders, diabetes mellitus and positive tuberculin skin test. This study was conducted to find the probable relationship between granulomaannulare (...) and diabetes mellitus, thyroid disorders and positive tuberculin skin test.A total of 28 patients with granulomaannulare were recruited from our dermatology outpatient clinic, and data on sex, age and distribution of granulomaannulare lesions were collected. Forty-one age- and sex-matched apparently healthy volunteers serving as controls were also included. Thyroid stimulating hormone (TSH), fasting blood sugar (FBS) and tuberculin skin tests were performed for both groups.Mean serum level of FBS
A Case of GranulomaAnnulare Associated with Secukinumab Use Granulomaannulare (GA) is a benign inflammatory dermatosis characterized clinically by dermal papules and annular plaques. The pathogenesis of GA is not well understood, although it is thought to result from a delayed-type hypersensitivity reaction in which inflammatory cells elicit connective tissue degradation. This condition has been seen following the use of several drugs, including tumor necrosis factor-alpha (TNF-α) inhibitors
