A Comparative Evaluation of Five Obturation Techniques in the Management of Simulated Internal Resorptive Cavities: An Root resorption is the loss of dental hard tissues as a result of clastic activities. It might be broadly classified into external or internal resorption by the location of the resorption in relation to the root surface. the various techniques used these days for filling internal resorption include warm condensation, vertical condensation, core techniques, thermoplasticized (...) condensation (group II), Obtura II with System B (group III), E and Q plus with System B (group IV), and Thermafil (group V), group III showed the highest percentage of gutta-percha plus sealer and gutta-percha, and least number of voids, which was statistically significant (P < 0.000).It can be concluded that Obtura II along with System B was found to be the most suitable obturation technique for the management of teeth exhibiting internal resorption. Thermafil was found to give the poorest obturation

4. A novel anatomy-based five-points eight-line-segments technique for precision subtotal tongue reconstruction: A pilot study. (Abstract)

A novel anatomy-based five-points eight-line-segments technique for precision subtotal tongue reconstruction: A pilot study. A no-flap design based on actual tongue anatomy has been reported to achieve precise reconstruction, but large carcinologic tongue defects remain extremely challenging to treat. The aim of this pilot study was to explore an anatomy-based flap design for precision subtotal tongue reconstruction.Thirty-five patients were randomly divided into two groups, a "five-points (...) eight-line-segments" (FIPELS) technique flap design group (18 patients) and a conventional surgery group (17 patients), to undergo subtotal tongue reconstruction. All patients received an anterolateral thigh flap with nerve coaptation to the lingual or glossopharyngeal nerve. Swallowing function, speech intelligibility, and cosmetic results were assessed with a Likert scale, and epicritic and proprioceptive sensitivity and thermosensation of the neotongue were investigated. Outcomes were analyzed

Dosimetric comparison of five different techniques for craniospinal irradiation across 15 European centers: analysis on behalf of the SIOP-E-BTG (radiotherapy working group). Conventional techniques (3D-CRT) for craniospinal irradiation (CSI) are still widely used. Modern techniques (IMRT, VMAT, TomoTherapy®, proton pencil beam scanning [PBS]) are applied in a limited number of centers. For a 14-year-old patient, we aimed to compare dose distributions of five CSI techniques applied across (...) Europe and generated according to the participating institute protocols, therefore representing daily practice.A multicenter (n = 15) dosimetric analysis of five different techniques for CSI (3D-CRT, IMRT, VMAT, TomoTherapy®, PBS; 3 centers per technique) was performed using the same patient data, set of delineations and dose prescription (36.0/1.8 Gy). Different treatment plans were optimized based on the same planning target volume margin. All participating institutes returned their best treatment

Transient severe motion during arterial phase in patients with Gadoxetic acid administration: Can a five hepatic arterial subphases technique mitigate the artifact? Gadoxetic acid (Gd-EOB-DTPA) is a hepatocyte-specific magnetic resonance (MR) contrast agent, which has been increasingly used in recent years. However, it has been reported that Gd-EOB-DTPA related transient severe motion (TSM) is sometimes observed during the hepatic arterial phase of MR imaging, which may influence image quality (...) . Since the hepatic arterial phase of contrast enhancement is used for the diagnosis of hepatocellular carcinoma, it is crucial to obtain a decent arterial phase imaging. The present study analyzed motion in patients receiving Gd-EOB-DTPA, comparing a single arterial phase acquisition to a five arterial phase acquisition to determine whether the multiphase acquisition was able to alleviate the TSM-related hepatic arterial MR imaging artifact. It was demonstrated that the single-phase acquisition
