Between 30% and 80% of women suffer from dyspepsia at some time during their pregnancy, with symptoms starting at any stage of pregnancy. There appears to be an increased risk of symptoms in women who have had symptoms of gastro (...) -oesophageal reflux prior to pregnancy, women of increasing gestational age, and women who have had a previous pregnancy. Once gastro-oesophageal reflux symptoms have developed, there is a high likelihood that they will persist throughout the pregnancy.
