Choriocarcinoma syndrome after resection of primary pulmonary choriocarcinoma: report of a case Choriocarcinoma syndrome is known as a lethal complication from tumoral hemorrhage, which frequently occurs at the site of tumor metastasis.A 59-year-old man with 60-pack-year smoking history was referred to our hospital because of hemoptysis. Chest computed tomography (CT) showed a 28 × 18 mm spiculated nodule with a cavity infiltrating the left upper lobe. Dihydromyricetin induces apoptosis in a human choriocarcinoma cell line Choriocarcinoma is a malignant trophoblastic tumor. The development of novel drugs is required to reduce the toxicity of current multi-agent chemotherapy and to successfully treat chemoresistant cases of the disease. The purpose of the present study was to investigate the effect of dihydromyricetin (DMY) on the human choriocarcinoma cell line, JAr, to identify a novel drug for the treatment of choriocarcinoma. An MTT assay (...) indicated that the protein expression level of BCL-2 associated X, associated protein increased, while the protein expression levels of BCL-2 and pro-caspase-3 decreased. The Clinical Significance of a Small Component of Choriocarcinoma in Testicular Mixed Germ Cell Tumor (MGCT). The clinical significance of limited choriocarcinoma in a malignant mixed germ cell tumor (MGCT) is unknown. Men with a MGCT with ≤5% choriocarcinoma at radical orchiectomy (RO) between 2000 and 2016 from our consult service were studied. Of 50 men in our cohort, we had clinical information for 30 men. Primary choriocarcinoma of the liver: a rare, but important differential diagnosis of liver lesions The case of a 64-year-old man with spontaneous acute abdominal bleeding is presented. Under suspicion of an atypical hepatocellular carcinoma an extended left hemihepatectomy was performed. Histological diagnosis after surgical therapy revealed a primary hepatic choriocarcinoma. Curcumol Controls Choriocarcinoma Stem-Like Cells Self-Renewal via Repression of DNA Methyltransferase (DNMT)- and Histone Deacetylase (HDAC)-Mediated Epigenetic Regulation BACKGROUND Cancer stem cells (CSCs), in choriocarcinoma and other carcinomas, possess the ability of self-renewal and multilineage differentiation potential. We previous isolated choriocarcinoma cancer stem-like cells (CSLCs), which hold the stemness characteristics of CSCs. Epigenetic modifications have emerged as drivers (...) by immunohistochemistry. RESULTS Expression of DNMT1, DNMT3b, HDAC1, and HDAC3 were increased in choriocarcinoma CSLCs. We investigated the role of STAT3/NFIL3 signaling-inhibited apoptosis in chemotherapy resistance and whether Raddeanin A (RA) could be a new drug to reverse resistance (...) -resistant cell lines. STAT3 enhanced NFIL3 transcriptional activity by binding the relative promoter region. Activated STAT3/NFIL3 pathway caused low rate of apoptosis which resulted in chemotherapy resistance.
