Step 1: Select articles relevant to your search (remember the system is only optimised for single intervention studies)

Step 2: press

Step 3: review the result, and maybe amend the or if you know better! If we're unsure of the overall sentiment of the trial we will display the conclusion under the article title. We then require you to tell us what the correct sentiment is.

141. Efficacy and oral side effects of two highly concentrated tray-based bleaching systems. (PubMed)

colour was evaluated by measuring L*a*b* values generated from standardised digital image analysis with Adobe Photoshop of the facial surfaces of the right central maxillary incisor. Tooth hypersensitivity, with intensity graded from 0 (no hypersensitivity) to 10 (high hypersensitivity), was assessed chair-side using an air syringe. After bleaching therapy, both treatment groups demonstrated significant improvements in tooth colour (p < or = 0.05). A shift towards less yellow (-Deltab*) and brighter

imported into Adobe Photoshop CS2 (Adobe Systems, San Jose, CA), and percentage of debris remaining was calculated. Analysis of variance and Student Newman-Keuls post hoc tests (p<0.05) showed that when comparing the entire canal, 3 minutes of activation with a file had significantly less debris remaining than 1 minute of activation with a spreader. There was a trend for 1 minute of activation with a file to have less debris than either 3 minutes or 1 minute of activation with a spreader. When

application FTP (file transfer protocol). The images were then sent from Ancona to other laboratories for additional histopathological review and quantitative analyses. They were viewed using Adobe Photoshop, Paint Shop Pro, and Imaging for Windows. For karyometric analysis full resolution imagery was used, whereas histometric analyses were carried out on JPEG imagery also. The three applications of the telecommunication system were remote histopathological assessment, remote data acquisition

on the external surface of the root. The teeth were embedded in composite resin by using the Endodontic Cube as a mold and sectioned into five pieces. ProFile Ni-Ti.06 taper Series 29 and ProFile GT rotary instrumentation techniques were randomly assigned to one of the canals and used in a crown-down fashion to a 0.217 ProFile and a 0.06 GT master apical file, respectively. Digital photographs were made of the middle three sections and software features of Adobe Photoshop were used to measure the movement

145. Effect of software manipulation (Photoshop) of digitised retinal images on the grading of diabetic retinopathy (PubMed)

Effect of software manipulation (Photoshop) of digitised retinal images on the grading of diabetic retinopathy To determine whether software processing of digitised retinal images using a "sharpen" filter improves the ability to grade diabetic retinopathy.150 macula centred retinal images were taken as 35 mm colour transparencies representing a spectrum of diabetic retinopathy, digitised, and graded in random order before and after the application of a sharpen filter (Adobe Photoshop). Digital

146. Evaluation of chronic periapical lesions by digital subtraction radiography by using Adobe Photoshop CS: a technical report. (PubMed)

Evaluation of chronic periapical lesions by digital subtraction radiography by using Adobe Photoshop CS: a technical report. The purpose of this study was to describe a new technique by using Adobe Photoshop CS (San Jose, CA) image-analysis software to evaluate the radiographic changes of chronic periapical lesions after root canal treatment by digital subtraction radiography. Thirteen upper anterior human teeth with pulp necrosis and radiographic image of chronic periapical lesion were (...) endodontically treated and radiographed 0, 2, 4, and 6 months after root canal treatment by using a film holder. The radiographic films were automatically developed and digitized. The radiographic images taken 0, 2, 4, and 6 months after root canal therapy were submitted to digital subtraction in pairs (0 and 2 months, 2 and 4 months, and 4 and 6 months) choosing "image," "calculation," "subtract," and "new document" tools from Adobe Photoshop CS image-analysis software toolbar. The resulting images showed

147. How to Optimize Radiological Images Captured from Digital Cameras, Using the Adobe Photoshop 6.0 Program (PubMed)

How to Optimize Radiological Images Captured from Digital Cameras, Using the Adobe Photoshop 6.0 Program Over the past decade, the technology that permits images to be digitized and the reduction in the cost of digital equipment allows quick digital transfer of any conventional radiological film. Images then can be transferred to a personal computer, and several software programs are available that can manipulate their digital appearance. In this article, the fundamentals of digital imaging (...) are discussed, as well as the wide variety of optional adjustments that the Adobe Photoshop 6.0 (Adobe Systems, San Jose, CA) program can offer to present radiological images with satisfactory digital imaging quality.

148. Technical Report on Semiautomatic Segmentation Using the Adobe Photoshop (PubMed)

Technical Report on Semiautomatic Segmentation Using the Adobe Photoshop The purpose of this research is to enable users to semiautomatically segment the anatomical structures in magnetic resonance images (MRIs), computerized tomographs (CTs), and other medical images on a personal computer. The segmented images are used for making 3D images, which are helpful to medical education and research. To achieve this purpose, the following trials were performed. The entire body of a volunteer (...) was scanned to make 557 MRIs. On Adobe Photoshop, contours of 19 anatomical structures in the MRIs were semiautomatically drawn using MAGNETIC LASSO TOOL and manually corrected using either LASSO TOOL or DIRECT SELECTION TOOL to make 557 segmented images. In a similar manner, 13 anatomical structures in 8,590 anatomical images were segmented. Proper segmentation was verified by making 3D images from the segmented images. Semiautomatic segmentation using Adobe Photoshop is expected to be widely used
