182. Prevalence of premenstrual syndrome in Iran: A systematic review and meta-analysis. (PubMed)

Prevalence of premenstrual syndrome in Iran: A systematic review and meta-analysis. Premenstrual syndrome (PMS) is a common disorder characterized by physical, mental and behavioral changes in the luteal phase of the menstrual cycle in the reproductive age women. The present study aimed to determine the overall prevalence of PMS in Iran by a systematic review and meta-analysis study. In this systematic review and meta-analysis, we searched international databases included ISI Web of Knowledge (...) reproductive-age women from 24 articles which entered to meta-analysis. Based on the result of random effect model, we estimated the overall prevalence of PMS 70.8% [95% CI: 63.8-77.7]. The results of subgroup analysis revealed that prevalence of PMS was 80.4% (95% CI; 66.9-93.9) among high school students, 68.9% (95% CI; 59.2-78.6) among university students, and 54.9% (95% CI; 51.6-58.2) in general population. Univariate meta-regression model showed that prevalence of PMS was decreased by increasing

184. Polysomnographic Aspects of Sleep Architecture on Self-limited Epilepsy with Centrotemporal Spikes: A Systematic Review and Meta-analysis. (PubMed)

Polysomnographic Aspects of Sleep Architecture on Self-limited Epilepsy with Centrotemporal Spikes: A Systematic Review and Meta-analysis. Self-limited epilepsy with centrotemporal spikes is the most common paediatric epileptic syndrome, with growing evidence linking it to various degrees and presentations of neuropsychological dysfunction. The objective of this study is to evaluate the possible sleep macro and microstructural alterations in children with this diagnosis. A systematic review (...) of published manuscripts was carried out in Medline, LILACS and Scielo databases, using the MeSH terms epilepsy, sleep and polysomnography. From 753 retrieved references, 5 were selected, and data from macro and, when available, microstructure of sleep were extracted. Meta-analysis was performed with data from 4 studies using standardized mean difference. Findings were heterogeneous between studies, being the most frequent macrostructural findings a smaller proportion and greater latency of REM sleep

186. A systematic review and meta-analysis of the reliability and validity of sensorimotor measurement instruments in people with chronic low back pain.

A systematic review and meta-analysis of the reliability and validity of sensorimotor measurement instruments in people with chronic low back pain. Deficits in the sensorimotor system and its peripheral and central processing of the affected body part might be a contributing factor to chronic low back pain (CLBP). Hence, sensorimotor assessment is important. Valid and reliable sensorimotor measurement instruments are needed. To investigate the reliability and validity of sensorimotor measurement (...) instruments for people with chronic low back pain (CLBP).Systematic review and meta-analysis.The review was undertaken using the COSMIN guidelines. Emotional Processing in Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder: A Systematic Review and Meta-analysis of 25 Functional Neuroimaging Studies. Patients with obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) experience aversive emotions in response to obsessions, motivating avoidance and compulsive behaviors. However, there is considerable ambiguity regarding the brain circuitry involved in emotional processing in OCD, especially whether activation is altered in the amygdala. We conducted a systematic literature review (...) and performed a meta-analysis-seed-based d mapping-of 25 whole-brain neuroimaging studies (including 571 patients and 564 healthy control subjects) using functional magnetic resonance imaging or positron emission tomography, comparing brain activation of patients with OCD and healthy control subjects during presentation of emotionally valenced versus neutral stimuli. Meta-regressions were employed to investigate possible moderators.Patients with OCD, compared with healthy control subjects, showed increased

188. Detection and clinical impact of human leukocyte antigen antibodies in lung transplantation: A systematic review and meta-analysis.

Detection and clinical impact of human leukocyte antigen antibodies in lung transplantation: A systematic review and meta-analysis. There is significant variability in lung transplant centers' approach to HLA antibodies, creating heterogeneity regarding their clinical significance. Some institutions use beads coated with multiple HLA to screen candidate sera and then use single antigen bead (SAB) to determine antibody identity if the pre-screen is positive. Other centers do not pre-screen (...) , using SAB alone, which may detect low-level antibodies of unknown significance. The primary objective of this study was to review the current literature to identify sources of heterogeneity in the identification of pre- and post-lung transplant HLA antibodies, particularly regarding antibody-detection methods. A random effects model meta-analysis was used to evaluate the relationship between pre-transplant HLA antibodies and the development of de novo donor-specific antibodies (dnDSA) and dnDSA

Minimally Invasive Epicardial Surgical Ablation Alone Versus Hybrid Ablation for Atrial Fibrillation: A Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis. Maintaining sinus rhythm in patients with non-paroxysmal AF is an elusive goal. Some suggest that hybrid ablation, combining minimally invasive epicardial surgical ablation with endocardial catheter ablation, may be more effective than either modality alone. However, randomised trials are lacking. We investigated whether hybrid ablation is more effective (...) than epicardial ablation alone at preventing recurrent AF by performing a systematic review and meta-analysis. The review was prospectively registered with PROSPERO (CRD42016043389). MEDLINE and EMBASE were searched for studies of standalone minimally invasive epicardial ablation of AF and/or hybrid ablation, identifying 41 non-overlapping studies comprising 2737 patients.
